Four-side seal flat pouches are formed by sealing flexible laminate on all four sides, creating a precisely dimensioned, flat package with a defined internal cavity suited to portioned food, pharmaceutical tablet and capsule, and medical device packaging requiring a hermetic, tamper-evident enclosure. Laminate structures are selected based on the application's barrier, puncture resistance, and regulatory requirements — transparent constructions are available for pharmaceutical and medical applications, while high-barrier foil laminates are specified for food and pharmaceutical products with extended shelf-life requirements.

The four-seal construction offers a neater, more squared presentation compared to three-side seal formats and is particularly effective for single-serve portion packs where dimensional consistency is important for display, secondary packaging, or automated dispensing. Seal strength uniformity across all four seals is validated during production to ensure hermetic integrity under the compression and handling conditions of distribution.

Tear notches can be applied on one or more sides to facilitate controlled opening. Custom dimensions, seal widths, and print specifications are confirmed during pre-production to match the customer's filling line and packaging requirements.
